Cims de Porrera

No Priorat winery garners the reverence of its peers like Cims de Porrera (“Summits of Porrera” in Catalan). Founded in the 1990s by Josep Lluís Pérez, the visionary behind Mas Martinet, Cims de Porrera originated from his pursuit of old-vine Carignan and his decision to establish a presence in Porrera’s struggling cooperative winery where steep mountain vineyards on Priorat’s renowned llicorella slate soils surround the village.

Cims began under the guidance of Josep Lluís and his daughter Sara Pérez (of Mas Martinet and Venus La Universal) and today is managed by Josep Lluís’ dynamic son and nephew, Adrià Pérez and Marc Pérez, who took over in 2004 and maintain partnerships with 18 of the original cooperative members who have been involved since the beginning. Cims’s long journey into the enigmatic Carignan grape, and the rugged soils and resilient spirit of Porrera has resulted in some of the most intricate and captivating of Priorat wines.

Distributed via Craft Cellars, Craft Collective’s wine division, offering a carefully curated selection of wine from small, artisan producers worldwide, with a focus on quality, passion, and unique, distinctive wines.
