Lectores Vini

Founded in 2016, Lectores Vini is the Catalan project of Galician-Swiss DJ-turned-winemaker Fredi Torres.

Fredi grew up between Galicia and Switzerland and traveled the world in his first career as a house DJ. He fell in love with wine, enrolled in enology and viticulture school, then made the leap into winemaking. He honed his craft in the Priorat, at the legendary Clos Mogador then at Sao del Coster. Lectores Vini continues his Catalan winemaking, focusing on four regions: Montsant, Priorat, Conca de Barberà, and Penedès, seeking out and working with old vines, on interest sites. The wines are silky and vibrant wines made from organically farmed grapes, vinified naturally, and priced accessibly. As Fredi says, Lectores Vini makes him “like Indiana Jones, looking for old vines, nice plots, and good grapes!.”
