Ginger beer was one of America’s favorite beverages until the 1920s, when prohibition put a stop to the public production and sale of alcoholic ginger beer, leaving it largely forgotten. Over the last few years, Halyard Brewing Company has worked tirelessly to rediscover the lost art of brewing alcoholic ginger beer. In the process, this South Burlington-based brewery created an incredibly delicious variety of ginger beers, all of which are naturally fermented, gluten free and brewed with organic and fair trade ingredients.

An impressively versatile beverage, Halyard’s ginger beer can be enjoyed on its own, on ice with a squeeze of lime, or in a handcrafted cocktail. Halyard product performs exceptionally well alongside craft beer and cider brands, beside a rum display in the spirits aisle, and on draft and cocktail menus.
