Cider Monday – A Spotlight on Craft Ciders (Seasonal Sippers Included)
On this Monday after Thanksgiving, we bring you Cider Monday – a spotlight on the craft ciders we’re currently enjoying (currently = we may have sipped a cider or two while writing this…). Timely headline aside, we have lots of really tasty seasonal ciders in stock, many of which are available for a limited time and in limited quantities. We’ve also recently restocked our cider mainstays, year-round offerings that are gluten free, great for gifts, and go well with holiday menus.
Forest & Frost Gose Punch Cider (MA + RI)
The latest seasonal offering from our friends at Graft is a winter berries & cream gose with hibiscus, vanilla, orris root & pink sea salt. A festive punch cider that pours pink and comes complete in a signature Graft can with a snowy backdrop.
Snowdrift Red Cider (MA + RI)
Snowdrift’s Red Cider is the go-to holiday gift for many of us at Craft Collective. It’s a gift-able, cork & cage bottle whose contents are delicious. Coming to us from the heart of Washington apple country, Snowdrift makes this cider using only red-fleshed apples.
Old Marauder (MA Only)
One of Embark’s flagship ciders, Old Marauder is a 7% dry cider that combines attributes of McIntosh, Cortland, Ida Red and Jonagold apple varieties to create a hard cider that gives off crisp apple notes with a clean finish. Because it has no residual sugar, it complements a wide range of foods.
Winter’s Cinn (MA Only)
Cider Creek’s seasonal Winter’s Cinn is unfiltered, made with a Bavarian Wheat yeast and finished with cinnamon and a hint of spice. The yeast produces pear, plum and banana characteristics which are complemented by a subtle hint of clove and vanilla.
ANXO’s Cidre Blanc (MA + ME)
Made from 100% Goldrush apples from Winchester, VA and fermented with Sauvignon Blanc yeast in stainless steel, ANXO’s Cidre Blanc is 6.9% with bright acidity that fades into juicy peach and apricot notes with hints of lemon that are balanced by subtle tannins.
Viva la Pineapple! (MA Only)
Rev Nat’s ¡Viva La Pineapple! is a blend of fermented fresh apple juice (sourced mostly from Eastern Washington), and unfermented fresh pineapple juice. A touch of spice is added (cinnamon and cloves and allspice).
Goldmine Nectarine Jerkum (MA + RI)
Made of 100% pure fresh-pressed nectarine, Mission Trail’s Goldmine Nectarine Jerkum is barrel aged in just about 18 months in french oak. Dry, aromatic and a unique nectarine hue.
Prospect’s Oasis (MA , RI + ME)
A dry cider built on soft, natural acidity. Prospect allows its Belgian Ale yeast to run its course over an extended fermentation period. Oasis is then conditioned on the lees with oak, resulting in a crisp, modern cider with traditional roots.
